I hope you are making plans to join us at the Department Fall Conference hosted at Spenard Post 28 in Anchorage, October 16-18th. Auxiliary Unit 28 is working hard to prepare a wonderful weekend for all of us.

Still deciding whether to attend? Here is a sneak peek at what we have planned:

Friday evening join us at Spenard Post 28 for Friday night Steak Night, and some evening fun.

We will meet up on Saturday morning at 9AM to start our day
● Morning Session: We’ll host inspirational guest speakers representing programs that directly align with our ALA mission of supporting veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
● Youth Program Highlights: We will receive a special visit from our ALA Girls State and TAL Boys State citizens! You’ll hear firsthand how these programs impact our young leaders and future communities.
● Afternoon Training: Our Department Chairs will lead educational workshops designed to equip your local unit with the tools, resources, and ideas needed for a successful year.

Sunday morning @ 9AM we will have our DEC MEETING

Department President’s Service Project:

This year, our service project will support The Honor Flight. During the conference, we will write thank-you notes to place in the veterans’ mailbags for their return flight.
Additionally, I am asking Auxiliary Units, Legionnaires, and SAL members to donate gift cards of $5 or more (e.g., major airport food vendors, coffee shops, or general debit gift cards) to help cover meals and refreshments for our veterans traveling to Washington, D.C. (If you cannot attend in person but would like to contribute, please mail your gift cards to PO Box 873719 Wasilla 99687).
