Department Fall Conference
The 2021 Department of Alaska Fall Conference will be held at
Joseph T. Craig Post 3 in Ketchikan, Alaska during October 16-17, 2021.

Fall Conference Dates: October 16th and 17th (Saturday all day with DEC and Girls State on Sunday)
There is a charge from the airport via Ferry of $6 each way to get to land. You cannot drive from the airport as there is no road.

There will be shuttle service between ferry landing, hotels, and the Post

7:30 a.m. SAL Breakfast fundraiser DONATIONS ACCEPTED
9:00 a.m. Joint Opening Ceremonies
Break to various meeting locations
11:30 to 1:00 Lunch on your own
1:00 p.m. Reconvene for workshops/meetings
6:00 p.m.Dinner at the Post catered by Taste of Texas BBQ - PLEASE INDICATE ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
($25 charge payment in advance preferred), entertainment afterwards

HOTEL INFORMATION
Cape Fox Lodge $139 per night. It is about 3 blocks from the post and about 5-7 minutes walking). Their rooms are either a single king bed room or a 2 double bed room. 907-225-8001
Inn at Creek Street $134 to $164 per night depending on room style. It is about 3 blocks from the post and about 5-7 minutes walking). Most room have one queen bed and are considered standard rooms. The rooms with a kitchenette have one queen bed. The rooms with a sofa sleeper have a queen bed with a sofa sleeper. 907-225-0246
My Place Hotel $110 to $120 per night. About a mile from the post. Their rooms have either one queen bed or two queen beds. There are 2-4 rooms that are adjoining rooms with 2 queen beds I each. 907-220-9201
The Landing Hotel and Restaurant $128 to $164 per night. About a mile from the post. They have single queen rooms, single king rooms, double queen rooms, queen suite with separate living room, one room king mini suite with a queen pull out sofa bed. Charges may be different per the type of room you choose. 907-225-5166

REGISTRATION FORM
Attached you will find the registration form for the Fall Conference. I am asking that this be returned by August 15th along with payment for meals ($25 per person) if possible.. On the registration form, please indicate if you will be partaking of the BBQ night (you pay for that on Friday night).
Please be sure you use the new Department mailing address of PO Box 520826, Big Lake, Alaska 99652 to mail in your payment and registration form.
DEC MEETING/GIRLS STATE BOARD MEETING
There will be a Girls State Board meeting starting at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday It will be followed immediately by a DEC meeting. Minutes of the DEC meeting in June are attached and will be up for approval.
